The World Cup, that is. I don't hink England stands a chance, but what are your predictions? I'm thinking Argentina has a pretty high chance of winning.

You are way, way early with this. There's two years to go.

Argentina is always a good bet, of course, and I think the climate and temperament of this particular World Cup might suit.

I'd very much like to see a winner from outside of the South America-European axis. I'd like to see Egypt qualify and do well; I'd like to see a serious threat from Nigeria and the Ivory Coast. Basically, I want an African World Cup Finals to have a strong showing from Africa.

As long as the US doesn't embarress itself again I'll be fine... but I may be in for some disappointment.  I think the usual teams from south america and europe will win again.  i would like to see some upsets though.  As for England, let's just hope they qualify

There is a long way to go before the world cup.In any case i don't think Brazil will win this time.It is either Argentina,Spain or Germany who will take home the cup.

Its along way of so hard to know I think that Spain have a good chance and Argentina but anything can happen.

When do you all think an Asain team will make it to the final or even win?  If it happened in 2010, which team would it be?

I think it'll be a while before an Asian team can make it bog in the world cup ! Japan had a great run a few years back but the Asian game lacks serious discipline..
As for the favourites I think Spain and Argentina are the usual favourites..though I really wish England puts up a good showing

I wonder what effect playing in South Africa will have?  Are there any special weather conditions or anything like that there?
