Its 2008 with the season ended,all the talk is about the new chelsea manager,of all the candidates, none are english,and all the english accept it,imagine just twenty years ago, ther only being a handful of english managers in the top flight.
Imagine just five years ago having some of the countrys finest talent sitting on the bench most of season,whilst french,eastern european,spanish,german, players are picked ahead of them by french ect ect managers,who do you ask? well Peter crouch,Shaun w Phillipps,theo walcott,to name three there are many more ,who may never play in the premiership,as managers such as arsene venger, give french youth preference over what he has clearly inferred is second rate local talent. We are told having international players would improve the game, but look at the big four they buy the cream, and leave the best english players sitting on the bench. CAPPELLO WOW THE ITALIANS must be smirking into their spaghetti bologneises at that brilliant appointment,we will have a team that plays like Italy,until the press and fans boo the team off the pitch for cowardly defensive, boring dive in the box tactics.Mclaren was a stupid appointment, sacking him was even more stupid. He would have got us through, had rooney, ferdinand,terry,ect been available,imagine Brazil without several of its stars, they would be good, but they would be beatable. Mclaren was passionate, he was patriotic,but what our kids will learn is hey he was english, the foriegn coaches are somehow better,so are the players, so are the owners,why else do they now own run coach manage the biggest clubs in England. England is a tolerant country,thank God,but for a country to survive it must have pride, and for a game to survive it must have pride. Look at the other leagues in Europe are they full of English players in their( leagues (no) how about managers (no) They have pride in being Italian ,french, german,israeli,spanish,russian,portugese,colonial days are over,why are we seeing a 100 year old plus sport sold to the highest bidders,newcastle is the only big club not foriegn owned, and foriegn managed, it would make the 3 million casualties of world war one and two wonder (what it was all about). Yes let football embrace people of all cultures and belief and race,let them play in unlimited numbers, let them buy every premiership team,but just dont expect any other country to follow,why? ask them they will tell you. |
