Was this a sign of great things to come for Arsenal (from a youth developement perspective), or a lucky game against a weaker team?  Or was it somewhere in the middle?

(for those who don't know, Arsenal won 6-0 against Sheff. United in the Carling Cup)

Well, it's hard to tell. Bendtner is a proven talent and Vela looks very good also.

To be honest, it's hard to tell until Arsenal kids come up against a side that are trying to win the Carling Cup - Spurs or Sunderland or someone.

I think its an excellent sign for Arsenal . Having such bench-strength will only increase the competition and performance within the team...
There won't be too many replacement worries in case the starting players run into injuries over the season..

My personal thing is that it's kind of mixed thing.  Hopefully some of these "kids" will stay with the team and provide them with quality for years to come.  But most will probably be sold to lesser teams and Arsenal (and teams at their level) will continue to buy much of their talent where the youth program is up to snuff.
