| Consistently solid in the Championship have been Preston, so I guess I'd have to say them or the two Bristol teams. | ||

| nick, I applaud you of even knowing what teams have never made it to the Prem but still maintain a decent record. I asked this question to find out who those teams were, because because frankly I don't know that much about them, and I'm too lazy to scroll through team histories. Thanks. Any other thoughts people? | ||

| There's always those teams that have made it briefly and not returned. It's surprising that there aren't more teams from Yorkshire in the Premiership. I'd like to see Sheffield Utd back, Barnsley or Bradford back in the top flight. | ||

| Interesting. One think I love about English football is that all these teams have quality and an intense local following. There's just something cool about seeing new teams come into leagues and the pressure that comes with relegation. Too bad the US never picked up that aspect in their sports leagues. | ||
