A great question was brought up on another thread...
What alternative would you suggest to PKs at the end of a game, or do you like PKs? Interesting story: one of the last amatuer teams from England (the Corinthians) would never shoot the PKs they were awarded and never put a goalie in net if the other team got one. They felt like it was unsporting. |

Its something I've grown to oppose actually- Penalty shootouts are just not fair. Its heart-breaking to have the game decided by luck after 90 minutes plus extra time of hard sweat..
I think they should have the game continue in a sudden-death format. Remove limitations on substitutions and let the game run.. |

| That's interesting, the part about removing sub limitations. I would prefer some kind of continueing play option. But what about the way they used to do it with replays? | ||
