Man U are gonna win the league this season if we can pikc up a couple of good signings in the january transfer window. We need a good tackling midfielder as Fletcher and Carrick cant tackle to save thier lives.

And someone to link the midfield and the strikers like Sheringham used to do would be even better. If we get a couple like that, then the 2006-2007 Premiership title will be back at Old Trafford where it belongs.

Isn't Rooney the guy to link the midfield with the strikers?
I can't see united bringing in any big names in Jan, thing is, any big players are likely gonna be cup tied and will want as much euro football as possible, big transfers happen in the summer. Where do you think Beckham will go if anywhere?

He can do that, sure, but he's best jsut doing whatever he wants to do without being limited. We need that Bergkamp/Sheringham/Cantona type and someone like Hargreaves to put his foot in.

There's always one or two you can get in the January window, but I take your point danbodd. We got Vidic last January and he's turning out to be a good player.

True, I think United would benefit from Hargreaves, but I can't see Bayern letting him go easily, at least, not in January.

Vidic does seem to be turning out quite good as does Evra. Who do you think is capable of filling sheringham/bergkamp role then? Any thoughts?

Wouldn't any manc's like to see becks back at old trafford? i am part of the half of the nation that likes him, and i think that a return to the premiership would not only do him good, but also other memebers of the premiership.

Whether he wants to go back there, or if he would be welcome is another question?

I watched him play that role for real madrid a few times and it seems like he has the potential to fulfil that position, he isnt afraid to hit a ball, can run at players, i think the preiership would give him back a bit of the flare he once had, and maybe a spot back in the england team?

Whether or not many clubs would want him is another question, I would love to see him at spurs, we cant get enough midfielders!!!!

Im a fan of beckham too. I think McLaren dropped him from the England team due to popular demand from doomsayers and football pundits looking for a scapegoat.

Name another current England player that can play his role at anywhere near the level he did. Instead we now have half a team of pint sized wingers, some ok strikers and W.R. and a couple of quality central midfielders that are always cut out when a defender decides to ping an inaccurate 60 yard pass.

Bring Beckham back, back to the England team, Back to the premierhsip, but for gods sake, not to Spurs

It looks like Man Utd aren't going to get anyone in this year's transfer window. Berbatov seems to have sulked himself out of a move.

Anyone think we need to pick up anyone in the january transfer window, might be a little to early to tell...

Looking at initial trends I won't be surprised if they do get themselves someone. Maybe a new striker- Rooney doesn't seem to be getting goals..

Despite having a good, strong and talented looking squad, they have not got off to a very good start.Maybe they have to grab somebody good when the transfer window reopens.

As far as I can tell they are a pretty complete team... no team is perfect but you can't deny they are great.  A team like this just needs to keep adding young talent to develop and continue on the tradition of winning.  A veteran holding midfielder or center back is never a bad move either.
