Middlesbrough's poor start to the season looks likely to continue at home to Everton, unless manager Gareth Southgate can coax
a real performance out of his under-performing stars.

Southgate has been experimenting with 1 up and 1 off, 2 upfront, 4-5-1, 4-4-2 and just about every other combination you
can think of. But it's not working very well. Against Everton, they will need Yakubu and (if he starts) Viduka to be on
top form and will have to hope that Boateng can keep their midfield competitive.
