Transfer deadline day saw Gianfranco Zola’s West Ham United sign three new attacking players.
Former Spurs and Middlesbrough striker Mido has signed on loan until the end of the season, while Brazilian forward Ilan, who is a free agent, has a six month contract.
Ilan had fallen out of favour at French side St Etienne, where he scored 26 times in a little over 100 appearances.
The player commented on his move, saying:
“I am happy to be here and it is a great opportunity for me. West Ham are a big club in England and a very traditional club. I also love the Premier League.”
The Hammers also finalised the deal to bring Blackburn Rovers Benni McCarthy to Upton Park.
