Birmingham Transfer Rumours
January 28, 2010 | Written by : Jim Haines
With new owner Carson Yeung’s money and Birmingham boss Alex McLeish’s stated desire to buy a new striker, the Blues are being linked with pretty much every forward in Europe.
A couple of the latest names are Arune Dindane and Roman Pavlyuchenko.
Dindane has been on loan at Portsmouth this season from French side Lens but the financial difficulties at Portsmouth have meant that no permanent deal is possible.
The Ivory Coast striker has scored 4 goals in 10 matches for Portsmouth this term. It is believed that Lens want around £4m for their player.
McLeish has also admitted an interest in Tottenham want-away striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, saying “he would take him, of course” but is uncertain that he could afford the Russia international.
