Blackburn vs Fulham Match Preview
January 16, 2010 | Written by : Jim Haines
El Hadj Diouf is suspended for Sam Allardyce’s Blackburn Rovers, while Fulham welcome defender Brede Hangeland back into the squad.
Hangeland had been missing with a knee injury, but is fit again and will start in central defence in place of Chris Smalling.
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson will freshen up his forward line in the absence of Bobby Zamora, with Andy Johnson likely to be partnered by USA international Clint Dempsey.
This means Zoltan Gera could be handed a start in midfield.
Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is missing a number of players either through injury or suspension. Along with Diouf, Vince Grella, Jason Roberts and Lars Jacobsen are all out.
Coming into the Blackburn starting eleven will be David Dunn, who has overcome injury to make his first Premier League start for three weeks.
Veteran Michel Salgado could start in place of Jacobsen, with Nikola Kalinic given another opportunity as the sole striker.
