Wolves vs Arsenal Match Preview
November 7, 2009 | Written by : Jim Haines
Forward Chris Iwelumo is missing for Mick McCarthy’s Wolves with a metatarsal injury, while Gael Clichy is out for Arsenal.
Arsenal defender Clichy has not yet overcome the back problem that kept him out of Arsenal’s last Premiership match.
Also missing for Arsene Wenger’s side is striker Nicklas Bendtner, whose groin strain will keep him out for up to a month.
Kieran Gibbs will start in place of Clichy, with a 5 man Arsenal midfield, including Arshavin, Fabregas and Nasri, supporting Robin van Persie as a lone striker.
Other Arsenal players sidelined include Theo Walcott, goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, Denilson and Jack Wilshire.
For the home side, Iwelumo’s metatarsal injury means another start for Sylvan Ebanks-Blake upfront alongside Kevin Doyle.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is set to make no other changes from the side that drew 2-2 with Stoke City last time out.
