Michael Owen and Other Premiership Transfer Rumours
July 3, 2009 | Written by : Jim Haines
The Sun and Daily Mail are both reporting rumours that permanently injured striker Michael Owen will make a surprise move to Manchester United on a pay as you play deal.
Elsewhere Owen’s former club, Real Madrid - who seem to have some kind of magic money tree judging by the way they are throwing the stuff around - want to buy everyone. Literally.
Apparently, The Telegraph and Sun tell us, they are in for Mascherano and Alonso. Presumably to fit in with a 10 man midfield alongside Ronaldo, Kaka, and about half a dozen others.
The only player they apparently haven’t bid for is Franck Ribery, which is a shame as that’s the club Ribery wants to play for. Not pesky Chelsea who keep making bids for him.
