Benzema, Valencia And A Whole Lot More
June 13, 2009 | Written by : Jim Haines
Now that Alex Ferguson will be getting his hands on the thick end of £80million, the Man Utd transfer rumour mill is going into overdrive. Oh, what joy.
Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has said that United have made a bid for Antonio Valencia, so we’ll have to say that one is true. I can’t help thinking that Whelan’s announcement is to alert other clubs who might be interested though.
Lyon striker Karim Benzema is another name strongly linked with United but the French club don’t seem keen to sell him.
A new one to me is a rumour connecting Roma’s Mirko Vucinic with a move to United. Vucinic seems keen, saying all that “I’m-flattered-to-be-linked-with-such-a-great-club” stuff that everyone angling for a move does.

Got something to say?

aguero is linked too he is better than benzema
all my hopes are in oblivion concerning sir alex’s buying of new player.i feel like he is not giving a damn.but all in all am ok with the status.
thank yoy
well i think he should buy ashley young, luis fabiano and franck ribery and just leave it at that
we need young world class players, michael owen is not one, valencia is’nt one yet, obertan is not, problem is the best young players are already either at big clubs, too expensive or not willing, so that leaves utd only players with promise, as ronaldo had, but its very difficult to find a young player with future potential, unless they come at 12 to united and work there way through the youth camps, like giggs scholes and beckham, i think we’ll do ok for 2 or 3 years but the youth needs to come through soon or united will dissapear for 5 or six years,AGAIN!
