Yakubu Out For The Season

Everton striker Yakubu will miss the rest of the season after rupturing an achilles tendon during his side’s 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Speaking on the official Everton FC website, boss David Moyes is quoted as saying:

“Yak has ruptured his Achilles and will be out for the rest of the season. Injuries happen in football but we’re disappointed for Yak because he is really important for us and we will miss him.”
