Portsmouth Vs Blackburn Match News
November 30, 2008 | Written by : Jim Haines
Portsmouth’s Jermain Defoe has overcome a calf strain to be in contention to start, while left back Stephen Warnock returns from suspension for Blackburn Rovers.
WIth Martin Olsson suspended, Warnock will return to his favoured left back position.
WIth David Dunn, Vince Grella and Steven Reid all out, Keith Andrews will again start in midfield alongside Mokoena, Emerton and Pedersen.
For Pompey boss Tony Adams, Defoe’s return to fitness is timely as Kanu suffered a groin injury in the midweek draw with Inter Milan. David Nugent will take his place on the bench.
Lassana Diarra is still out, but Croatian Niko Kranjcar may return after an ankle injury.
