Ferguson Will ‘Never Retire’

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that he has no intention of retiring in the near future.

Interviewed in the News of the World, Ferguson had this to say on the subject:

“I don’t ever think about it [retirement] any more - it’s all out of my mind. It doesn’t even come into it now. I don’t even think about it.

“I am not even going to put myself into that situation where I am thinking: ‘Should I this year, should I next year?’”

The Manchester United manager suggested that only health problems would force his hand, saying:

“If my health deteriorated, that solves the problem for everyone. You would be rid of me for good!”
