El Hadj Diouf may start for Sunderland against his former club Bolton Wanderers as manager Roy Keane seeks to fresh up his side after a poor run of form.
Diouf may start on the left of a three man attack along with Kenwyne Jones and Djibril Cisse.
Also pushing for starting places are right back Pascal Chimbonda and midfielder Daryl Murphy.
Bolton boss Gary Megson is set to name an unchanged side after a run of victories for his side.
Excepting Joey O’Brien, who has a thigh problem, Megson has a fully fit squad to call upon.
