Mido returns for Gareth Southgate’s Middlesbrough against a Newcastle United side who will be missing Damien Duff and Shola Ameobi.
Boro striker Mido has finally overcome a groin problem and is favourite to start in attack alongside the in-form Turkish international Tuncay.
For Joe Kinnear’s Newcastle United, the injuries to Ameobi and Duff may mean starts for Xisco and Geremi.
However, Australian striker Mark Viduka has been back in full training in recent days and may challenge Xisco for a starting berth against his old club.
Centre back Steven Taylor may also play some part after overcoming a stomach muscle problem.
