Who’ll Be The New Hammers Boss

September 4, 2008   |   Written by : Jim Haines

With Alan Curbishley’s resignation, the usual mix of ex-players and recently sacked managers are being touted as potential replacements for the ex-Charlton man.

In the ex-players department : Paulo Di Canio (not a chance), Slaven Bilic (possibly…but I think he’ll see Croatia through qualification first) and Stuart Pearce (already got a good job).

In the recently sacked managers department : David O’Leary (hmmm….maybe), Big Sam (hmmm….possible), Frank Rijkaard (oh c’mon, there’s just no way at all).

And in the returning hero category: Harry Redknapp (he’s not likely to want to have someone else do the buying and selling is he?).

In the end, it will probably be someone who managed a mid tier European side for a couple of seasons and is now looking to upgrade his bank balance.
